EU Officially Bans Animal Testing On Cosmetics.

I rarely post news-related topics on here, but I thought that this is something I needed to share with you all asap. It's been officially confirmed that from March 11th of this year, the import and sale of cosmetic products that have been tested on animals or contain animal tested ingredients will be banned in the EU.

Animal testing is such an overwhelming topic for people, as we're constantly confused as to what companies actually test on animals. It's sometimes the case that big-name brands may test on animals in certain countries, but not in others. Lists of animal testing companies have swirled around the internet for years and years also, but most are outdated or lacking concrete facts and proof. 

 Animal testing in this day and age is unnecessary, in most circumstances. It's a touchy subject for people, as certain medication for extremely ill people, has to be tested on animals. For cosmetic and beauty products however, it isn't necessary - at all! 

Companies such as Lush and The Body Shop have been campaigning for nearly 20 years for this ban.

It's such a long, overdue announcement - I know that a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders personally. In an ideal world, I'd love for all of my products to be 100% cruelty-free, but of course that's not the way as I've always been confused as to who and what brands definitely test on animals. Now I can be certain that the products I buy after March, will be animal testing free and fabulous. I'm absolutely thrilled to hear of this news, it's made my year so far! 

Finally, we're moving out of the past and into the future.
